The Art of StorytellingWalt Disney did not just invent Micky Mouse and Donald Duck, he also founded a global entertainment corporation. Juliane Husemann, Co-Production and Acquisition Manager at Disney Germany, presented the company and explained its ongoing success in film and television, but also with theme parks and merchandising. How important is the „story“ to the success of a film? How much of said success is really based on secondary factors like marketing? The professional film maker knows the answers and allowed students to peak behind the curtains of decisions-making processes at big film companies.

Michael Koschorrek, guitarist for the German band „Söhne Mannheims“ talked to students about his art, the music business and the changes brought on by digitalization. Through it, he gave insight into a fascinating world most people only experience as part of the audience. Thanks to excellent cooperation with the Rotaract Club Bad Homburg, this very special visitor found his way to accadis Hochschule.
Senior Public Prosecutor Becker-ToussaintWhite collar crime has been at the center of attention again and again in recent years. Spokeswoman and senior public prosecutor from the Frankfurt Office of the attorney general, Hildegard Becker-Toussaint, presented several white collar crime cases of great public interest and explained their trials. She also related the cases to the enormous interest of the media as well as the media’s influence on trials.
