accadis Career Day Brings Students and Companies Together
The 2026 accadis Career Day brought together approximately 170 students with 15 companies from various industries. Nearly 50 one-on-one interviews, inspiring presentations, and numerous personal conversations once again made the Career Day at accadis University of Applied Sciences in Bad Homburg a successful platform for networking, recruiting, and career guidance.
Careers are built on encounters - and these were precisely the focus of this year’s Career Day. Students in the Management Department took the opportunity to speak directly with company representatives, make connections, and learn about internships, part-time student jobs, and entry-level opportunities after graduation. The Career Day is something very special for students, as this day is not just about exchanging business cards; rather, the interactions and connections made often lead to very concrete job offers down the line.
In their opening remarks, the organizers of Career Day, Prof. Andrea Hüttmann and Alina Weber, addressed the current challenging economic situation and emphasized the particular importance of personal networks in times of growing uncertainty. “Security comes from learning to deal with uncertainty,” Prof. Dr. Andrea Hüttmann told the students. Especially in a dynamic job market, she noted, openness, flexibility, and building a strong network are key factors for success when starting a career.
This message was reinforced by Martin Rahmes, an accadis alumnus and patron of the Career Day 2026. The current managing director of HS Immoinvest shared personal experiences from his professional career and gave students practical tips for successful interviews with potential employers. He emphasized how much one’s outward appearance, inner attitude, and confident demeanor contribute to leaving a positive and lasting impression.
In so-called “company pitches” - concise company presentations - the participating companies introduced their fields of activity, career paths, and corporate cultures. Following this, the fair provided an opportunity for one-on-one conversations and initial networking. Particularly exciting were the approximately 50 individual interviews, during which students were able to showcase their qualifications and explore concrete prospects for their professional future.
“Nothing can replace direct interaction between students and companies. Many conversations have shown just how valuable face-to-face encounters are for both sides,” emphasizes Alina Weber.
The program was complemented by practical presentations that offered students valuable guidance for their future career planning. The speakers shared their own experiences and perspectives on economic developments.
“It’s impressive to see anew every year just how many valuable contacts and opportunities are created in a single day. The Career Day demonstrates how successfully the connection between academic study and professional practice is put into practice at accadis University,” says Prof. Andrea Hüttmann.
With many new contacts, exciting conversations, and concrete career prospects, the Career Day 2026 came to a successful close. For numerous students, it likely marked the starting point for their next career step and definitely expanded the network of young professionals.
