The dream of completing my internship at Porsche Germany in the marketing department came true and filled 6 months of the accadis internship semester!
Right from the start of my internship, I was struck by the extremely positive work culture, where Porsche's brand values are executed in practice.
Being part of the Porsche family means to work with pioneering spirit, passion and sportiveness in a team.
Marketing at Porsche – a Multifaceted Puzzle
Through my area of responsibility, „Marketing management and special projects“, I was able to discover several practical sides of marketing, especially cross-departmental. With projects on brand strategy, partnerships, product placement, innovative retail concepts, budget reporting as well as print and editorial contributions, I faced a broad range of tasks. Having the opportunity to work around the subject of the brand Porsche - in addition to an open work atmosphere – made my daily work extraordinarily motivating.
Lecture Content in Practical Application
Repeatedly, I learned how to put theoretical references from accadis’ brand management lectures into practice, which also helped creating new impulses for potential topics for my Mmaster thesis. In the process, I was able to incorporate abstract theories of brand strategy into practical sales concepts in a new way.
Innovation Culture in a Team
Porsche encourages ideas, creativity and supports celebrating shared success among each other. For example, interns have the opportunity to develop an elevator pitch on topics such as smart mobility, innovation culture or other product-related marketing strategies in a team project within a very short time, which was then presented to the management. Where else would you get this opportunity?
My Highlights
The fact that I often had the pleasure of testing Porsche's driving-engineering limits myself was definitely a highlight and - as you can see in the picture - made my time particularly emotional and made a long-lasting impression! Or as Porsche would put it:
