Bella Italia in the heart of Bad Homburg: Under the theme “Amore - La Dolce Vita,” accadis celebrated this year’s Sommermärchen last Friday at the Orangerie Bad Homburg. With around 300 guests, the summer festival set a new attendance record and offered students, staff, lecturers, faculty, alumni, and friends of accadis a memorable evening.
The Italian spirit was palpable the moment guests entered the Orangerie. Mediterranean decorations, summertime temperatures, and the special atmosphere of the historic venue created the perfect setting to celebrate the end of the academic year together and engage with one another.
A varied stage program provided musical highlights. The successful concert pianist and accadis alumnus Alexander Preiss thrilled the audience with his virtuoso piano performance. Afterward, pop singer Marie Winter got the guests singing along and partying with her rousing performance.
A real highlight was the performance by the accadis cheerleading team outside the Orangery. With spectacular lifts, acrobatic stunts, and impressive choreography, the team captivated not only the guests of the Sommermärchen. Numerous visitors to Bad Homburg’s Kurpark also stopped to watch the show and gave enthusiastic applause.
Later, the accadis "Summer Fairy Tale" turned into a lively party. This was thanks to Matteo Allegro, an accadis student and professional DJ, who created a fantastic atmosphere with his varied set and kept the dance floor packed until late in the evening.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone involved who contributed to the success of the evening with their dedication - from the artists and the cheerleading team to the many helpers behind the scenes.
