The international university ranking association has distinguished
accadis in Bad Homburg in the category "practical relevance”.
U-Multirank
is the most comprehensive comparison of international universities. More than
1,700 universities from 96 countries are assessed examined in various
dimensions. In the category of practical relevance, accadis Hochschule Bad
Homburg is one of the 25 best universities worldwide in 2020 and is now
entitled for a further year to carry the "Top 25 Performer
U-Multirank" seal.
Bad Homburg
in the international arena
Following the successful
performance of accadis Hochschule in the CHE Ranking, the national university
ranking which was published at the beginning of May, the results of the
international university ranking U-Multirank were communicated today. The fact
that accadis not only scored well among the 1,700 universities in a worldwide
comparison, but is also among the 25 best institutions in the world in the
important category of practical relevance ("Contact to Work
Environment"), shows that Bad Homburg now plays a role on the
international academic landscape. After accadis was able to place itself among
the 25 best in the last international ranking in the category "Student
Mobility", the university has now succeeded in this remarkable achievement
in the area of practical relevance. The further consolidation of this forte by accadis
was already indicated at the beginning of May with the top positions
"Career orientation" and "Practical relevance" in the CHE
ranking. "To be among the best 25 worldwide is of course a completely different
kettle of fish," remarks Prof. Dr. Christoph Kexel, Managing Partner of
accadis Bildung GmbH, "and we can be more than proud of that!
Practical
relevance deeply rooted in the accadis DNA
Such success does not come
overnight. It is the result of many years of consistent effort aimed at
bringing to life accadis' implicit mission of preparing students in the best
possible manner for their career entry. The great significance placed on the
accadis Leadership Skills, with the teaching of problem-solving, interpersonal and
communication skills, pays off in preparing for the professional world. In
addition, students can participate in consulting projects, internships that are
an integral part of their studies, and a start-up pitch examination à la "Dragons’
Den" to gain practical experience. "However, Prof. Dr. Andrea
Hüttmann, Vice President and Head of Corporate Relations, explains that "a
key success factor is that we offer full-time and work-study dual programs
under one roof". The involvement of corporate partners, which is an
integral part of the work-study program, and the systematic approach of linking
theoretical and practical content, which is internalized in the work-study
program, is also reflected in the curriculum for the full-time students and
optimally prepares them for the working world. "The students surveyed in
the ranking seem to agree with this," reflects Prof. Dr. Hüttmann proudly.
