undergraduate program accadis 2023Three new degree programs and over 200 Bachelor's and Master's students to start in 2023: Last week, accadis Hochschule Bad Homburg welcomed its new students and launched the new academic year.

accadis focuses on Sustainability and Pedagogy

The accadis Hochschule community is pleased to announce the establishment of additional degree programs in the two departments of Management and Pedagogy. The Department of Pedagogy continues to grow and is responding to the shortage of skilled professionals with the degree program "Soziale Arbeit und Management B.A." in response to the shortage of skilled professionals in the field. In the Department of Management, the university is also focusing on current and future-oriented programs and welcomes students in the programs "Sustainability Management B.A." and "Strategic Sustainability Management M.A."

No course cancellations

In contrast to other universities in the Rhine-Main area, no academic program at accadis Hochschule had to be cancelled due to insufficient enrollment. The student advisory service has recently received an increasing number of calls asking whether programs would take place at the accadis Hochschule. Many first-year students had their courses cancelled at short notice because the universities did not receive sufficient registrations.
"Our concept and the structure of the degree programs allow us to react flexibly and provide young people with security," says Gerda Meinl-Kexel, Managing Partner of accadis.

Gen Z makes a splash in the workplace

In her welcoming speech on Monday, Prof. Andrea Hüttmann, Vice President of accadis University of Applied Sciences, quoted the Greek philosopher Socrates and pleasantly confronted the new students with facts about their generation - the "Gen Z". Currently, she said, four generations are represented in the job market: Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y and Gen Z. Gen Z (born between 1995 and 2010) is the least represented so far - but is causing the most buzz. Her message to students is that "achievement is non-negotiable."
Keynote speaker Marcel Renné also addressed the topic. He said it was important to build bridges between the different generations and learn from each other: "You are needed, but you also have to contribute something to the labor market."
