Professor Dr. Florian Pfeffel, long-standing Head of Studies at accadis Hochschule Bad Homburg, has taken up his duties as the new President of the university. On 1 June 2016 he took office after a unanimous vote by the members of the Senate on 27 April 2016.
As former Head of Studies Professor Florian Pfeffel has a ten year experience in teaching. “This internal solution is good for our university as Professor Florian Pfeffel is well acquainted with the internal processes and has a profound knowledge about accreditation procedures”, says Managing Partner Gerda Meinl-Kexel. “We have always worked together effectively and efficiently and share the same values.”
After seven years at a renowned international consultancy the Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur Professor Florian Pfeffel joined accadis Hochschule Bad Homburg in October 2006. Especially in the past two years he has initiated numerous research and consulting activities resulting in a more intense cooperation with business enterprises and international partners. “This will also be my focus as President”, says Professor Florian Pfeffel. With the Managing Partners Gerda Meinl-Kexel and Dr. Christoph Kexel he shares the commitment to a university with a personal touch which enjoys a manageable size and has its roots on the sole campus in Bad Homburg. “Nevertheless we see the need to expand our reputation out into the region and beyond.” Nevertheless Professor Florian Pfeffel will promote the focus on quality instead of quantity. “Also in the future accadis Hochschule will take a healthy and organic approach to growth.” The new President cares a lot about the growth of the future expansion of the graduate programs, an increase of research through third party funds and co-financing as well as the continuous process in quality assurance.
