In Germany, many students use public transport – buses and trains – to get around. Also accadis students use public transport to get to the campus, especially if they live in Frankfurt or Bad Homburg. But how do international students obtain their bus or train tickets?
Use the student ID
As at many other German universities, the student ID card is also valid as a semester ticket for public transport at accadis Hochschule. The validity dates of the ticket get integrated into the student ID card at the beginning of the studies. On request, you simply show the student ID card to the inspector in the bus or the train.
To Frankfurt and beyond
The integrated student ticket allows you to travel beyond the metropolitan region of Frankfurt – in all directions. More detailed information on the area of validity can be found at the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsbund (RMV). During your studies at accadis Hochschule it is worthwhile using the ticket not only for travel to the university, but also for excursions in the surrounding area.
How to get to the university – S-Bahn, subway or bus?
There are many ways to get to Bad Homburg by public transport. Directly in the neighbourhood there are bus stops and the tran line U2 stop („Ober-Eschbach“), which comes directly from Frankfurt. Alternatively, you can take the S-Bahn line S5 from Frankfurt to Bad Homburg station and get on the bus (line 1 or 11) to Ober-Eschbach.
