Venetian masked ball at the Bad Homburg Orangery: Glamorous outfits, delicious food, impressive performances and lots of fun: last Friday, July 14, 2023, accadis Hochschule celebrated the accadis "Sommermärchen" for the eighth time.
Since 2014, the accadis Summer Fête, a festive conclusion to the academic year, has been part of the tradition of the Bad Homburg academic institution. Among the guests were alumni, faculty, staff, as well as current and future students accompanied by friends and acquaintances. For the first time, staff and faculty of accadis International School did not miss out on this special evening.
Students vote in advance on the motto of the evening
There has not yet been a masked ball at the "Sommermärchen". Every year, accadis Hochschule entrusts the choice of motto to the students, who can choose between three inspiring proposals. For the Summer Fête 2023, the mottos "accadis Spirit - Blue and White", "James Bond & Bond Girls" and "Venetian Masked Ball" were available for selection. From original Venetian to self-made or even self-applied mask make-up, everything was represented. The guests' outfits were truly unique and glamorous.
Impressive performances by accadis talents
Traditionally, accadis talents perform and show their skills at the "Sommermärchen". Undergraduate student Paul Riesenkönig provided an inspiring start. He captivated the audience with his charming performance on the guitar and the fascinating "Acoustic Fingerstyle" technique. He arranged his performance in the form of a small competition: Whoever recognized the song the quickest. received a free drink at the bar. The varied song selection did not make it easy for the audience. Alumna Jessica Schefel and her dance partner David from the Movida Dance School then thrilled the audience with a Bachata dance performance. Under the title "Bachata moderna" they enchanted the audience. Representing the "accsa" (accadis students' activities), Jan Oliver Britz and Hannah Weber skillfully hosted the evening. For the rest of the evening, DJ Tim Matthiä created a great atmosphere on the dance floor!
Also future students among the guests
Every year, the guests also include numerous alumni who find their way back to Bad Homburg and are happy to meet former fellow students and lecturers again. New students, who will begin their studies this October, also took the opportunity to get to know their future university in a relaxed and festive atmosphere. We are already looking forward to the Summer Fête in 2024!
