At the accadis Graduation Ceremony on 25 October 2019 in the Kurhaus Bad Homburg our Bachelor and Master graduates received their degree certificates. The evening provided a surprise for Master’s graduate Hoang Thao Chau Tran. She was honored with the DAAD-Prize sponsored by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for her outstanding academic achievements. How was it to study abroad in Germany for Hoang Thao Chau Tran?
If someone has ever asked me how my life has been in the past two years, I would answer “wonderful”. As expected, Germany welcomed me with new and exciting experiences. A developed country with modern infrastructure, convenient transportation system, and the variety of diverse entertainment with the traditional values and amazing landscapes encourage curious people like me to discover and experience. Enjoying a glass of Apfelwein by the Main River, tasting delicious Nürnberger Bratwurst and a cup of Glühwein in one of the largest Christmas markets in Europe or spending a magical day at Neuschwanstein Castle in Munich. “Wonderful” is the right word to describe all these experiences.
Besides these opportunities to experienceing and discover the country, it would be incomplete to describe my life without mentioning the exciting and challenging studying period at accadis Hochschule Bad Homburg. The first welcoming night in October two years ago marked the day on which I met my beloved friends, with whom I spent most of my study time and without whom my life in Germany would not have been that wonderful. In addition, accadis has given me not only an international and professional learning environment but also a necessary and timely support. As an international student, I found many difficulties and challenges at the beginning of the Masters program. Thanks to the helpful support and thorough explanation from my teachers, my classmates and the Student Office, I have made it to the end of my academic program.
Above all, accadis is where I completed my acadmic goal. At accadis, I have learned not only theoretical knowledge but also practical and up-to-date knowledge through authentic examples shared by teachers and real case studies. Especially through the "Real Life Consulting Case" course in the fourth semester, which was one of my favorite courses, accadis provided me with opportunities to learn and maximize different skills in dealing with a real company case study.
And the question for me now is “What’s next?” After graduation, I spent one month travelling and discovering some countries in Europe with my family and friends. It was a relaxing and enjoyable time for me before I take up t the most challenging step of my life, starting my career path in Germany. I understand that the job market is very competitive, but with the knowledge and skills gained throughout my studies and work experience, I believe I can find a suitable position which matches my profile.
