Under the motto "Now more than ever", students and alumni from our renowned talent pool met with 16 different companies on Wednesday, 30.06.2021. These included the Bad Homburg-based healthcare group Fresenius as well as Nike from Berlin and Michelin from Frankfurt. The motivated young individuals took advantage of the virtual career fair in order to gain insights into listed companies, agencies, start-ups, and companies in the finance, consumer goods, and sports management sectors. The company representatives presented their businesses and then conducted one-on-one interviews. Two talk rounds were a highlight - one was about the topic of founding and the accadis program "Building Entrepreneurs", in the second round accadis alumni exchanged career tips for the sports business.
From information booths in the accadis foyer to virtual rooms
Normally, our students explore companies at a campus fair. "Due to Corona, we are once again working with the proven online concept. However, we are of course looking forward to bringing students and companies together again on site next year" says the Head of the accadis Career Center, Professor Andrea Hüttmann. With the companies, she has organized online presentations and one-on-one interviews to prepare students for the career fair. "It's a great concept that allows company representatives to establish high-quality contacts with potential applicants," says a delighted Frank Stuhlmüller, CFO, Managing Partner at FELS Group in Kelkheim. "I am excited to see one or the other accadis face in our recruiting processes in the future."
When sports managers and startup experts debate
The Bad Homburg start-up scene around the Unternehmerzentrum groundr e. V. is highly dynamic and companies such as the DFL or IRONMAN Germany are dream employers around Frankfurt am Main. "It's no wonder that our students and alumni have been eagerly awaiting the new format of the talk rounds," says Professor Andrea Hüttmann. As business students and alumni, the "accadix" know functional areas and processes in companies well and posed very specific questions. "The knowledge from my studies prepared me very well for the sports industry and helped me to manage projects efficiently," says accadis alumnus Joscha Löbig, who represented his employer Nike as EMEA Marketing Manager Football. "It was exciting to have discussions with my fellow students. Also this accadis generation will enrich the regional job market."
